Sky Trombly began this, her first blog, in hopes to share her passion with the world and to help interested readers develop their own connection to Nature.
Her passionate love-affair with the natural world began early. At 11 months of age, she was known for repeatedly sneaking out of her crib and home at dawn to run around in her family’s yard. It only got worse as she grew.
Sky has worked five years as a Natural Areas Ranger, and one year as a summit guide on Blue Mountain in the Adirondacks. She has written interpretive materials for Blue Mountain, for the City of Ithaca, and co-authored a Household Hazardous Waste manual for the Akwasasne reservation.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in Environmental Studies in May 2010. While at college, she earned the Environmental Studies Award for “outstanding scholarship in Environmental Studies” as well as the departmental scholar award in the same discipline.
Sky is actively continuing her self-education in her field as she tries to forge a lifestyle that is congruent with her beliefs.
Sky’s life purpose is:
To always grow. To live consciously and passionately connected to the Earth and to use her own talents and skills to help others to forge a similar connection.
